Print ArticleMakita U.S.A. Inc. renewed its partnership with Suzuki Factory Racing for a sixth straight season, and will be joined again by Rockstar Energy Drink. Rockstar Makita Suzuki Racing will sponsor teams across all Suzuki racing, including Supercross, Motocross, Superbike and ATV.
2010 marks the sixth year of partnership between Makita and Suzuki, including last season when Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing claimed championships in Supercross, Motocross, Superbike, and ATV.
“It has been great to be involved with Makita,” said Roger DeCoster, Suzuki Team Manager. “Makita is always working on improving the performance of their product, just like a top race team. That’s why our crews use Makita 18-volt LXT lithium-ion cordless tools in the garage and in the pits.”
“Our team raced hard all year in 2009, and the result was a string of championships,” said Brent Withey, Makita Senior Brand Manager. “These results speak to the talent and hard work of our athletes, and to the strength of our partnership. We look forward to more great racing in 2010.”
In addition to its team sponsorship, Makita is also the 2010 Official Power Tool Sponsor of Supercross. The 2010 Supercross season opened on Saturday in Anaheim, Calif., and Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey captured second place in a close battle with defending champ James Stewart.
